Terms of Service
Effective:
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Future Mail. By completing a purchase, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. The service
Future Mail is a letter delivery service that stores your written letter and delivers it to a recipient by email on a date you choose — either 1, 5, or 10 years from the date of purchase.
The service is provided on a one-time payment basis. There are no subscriptions, recurring charges, or renewal fees.
2. Payment
All prices are in Singapore Dollars (SGD). Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
You may choose to pay the full amount at checkout, or pay a 50% deposit to reserve your delivery date. If you choose the deposit option, the remaining balance is due 30 days before your scheduled delivery date. We will send a payment link to your address at that time.
If the outstanding balance is not paid by the due date, delivery will be paused until the balance is settled. Future Mail is not liable for delayed delivery resulting from an unpaid balance.
3. Refunds and cancellations
You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided your letter has not yet been scheduled for delivery. To request a refund, contact us at hello@futuremail.app with your order reference.
After 7 days, or once delivery has been initiated, refunds are not available. This policy exists because your letter is encrypted and stored in long-term infrastructure from the moment payment is confirmed.
Deposit payments are refundable within the same 7-day window. The deposit is non-refundable after 7 days.
4. Your letter
Once payment is complete, your letter is encrypted using AES-256 and sealed. You may not edit the content of your letter after this point.
You may update the recipient's email address at any time before the delivery date by contacting us with your order reference. We will verify your identity before making any changes.
You are solely responsible for the content of your letter. You must not include content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
Future Mail staff have no access to the content of your letter. It is decrypted only by our automated delivery system at the time of dispatch.
5. Delivery
We will make every reasonable effort to deliver your letter on the scheduled date. If the recipient's email address is unreachable, we will retry delivery three times over 72 hours.
If all delivery attempts fail, we will notify the sender's address (if different from the recipient) so you can provide an updated address.
We recommend using a personal email address for the recipient rather than a work or school address, which may be deactivated over time. Future Mail is not liable for non-delivery caused by an invalid or inaccessible recipient address.
6. Service continuity
In the event that Future Mail ceases operations, we are obligated to notify all customers with pending letters at least 90 days in advance and provide a full export of their letter content so it can be delivered through another means.
We will make reasonable efforts to ensure continuity of the service for the duration of your chosen delivery period.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Future Mail's liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for your order.
Future Mail is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the service.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Contact
If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us at hello@futuremail.app.
